Anyone sane knew we would need British-produced gas and nuclear too. But the Tories cannot dodge all blame. They have been in sole charge since 2015. Even allowing for Brexit and Covid, nothing is much more fundamental for any Government than to ensure the public can always afford heat and light. And they were warned.
