A SERVING police officer has today appeared in court charged with raping a schoolgirl. Paul Hill, 58, is accused of attacking the girl, who is aged under 13, over a six-year period. SWNSPaul Hill is accused of raping a young girl '/ ' The Northamptonshire Police officer appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court today. Married Hill, whose wife was in the public gallery, spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address. He was bailed to next appear at Northampton Crown Court on a future date. Under his bail conditions, the officer cannot contact, directly or indirectly, the alleged victim. He is charged with two counts of raping a girl under 13 and two counts of assaulting a girl under 13 by penetration. The offences allegedly took place during a six year period between 2009 and 2015. Prosecutor Jordan Pratt confirmed Hill is a serving police officer. A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: ...We can confirm a police constable has been charged with four non-recent sexual assault offences and has been suspended from work pending the outcome of the case....
