On December 22, 2021, Ratray was arrested in Oklahoma for allegedly strangling his ex-girlfriend, who's identity remains unknown. He was taken into custody on domestic violence charges after he ...turned himself in and was processed through and bonded out,... a representative from the Oklahoma City Police Department told Fox News. Records show his bond was set at $25,000. The actor and his, then, girlfriend were in town for a Christmas convention. The ex-girlfriend reportedly told authorities that Ratray had a lot to drink and reportedly got into an argument with her because she failed to charge fans for his autographed cards. The argument continued into their hotel room where Ratray allegedly strangled her on the bed and later, allegedly punched her in the face. Local outlet, KFOR, reported that the woman had several injuries after the incident, including bruising and marks along her body. The actor's arrest came after he shared he would be a part of the Home Alone reunion, set to take place 31 years after the franchise first aired.
