A PILOT is in the hospital after a plane crashed into the roof of a home in Auburn, Califonia. The Placer County Sheriff's Office said they got a call about "suspicious circumstances" on Miracle Drive around 3pm.

"PSCO deputies are on the scene of a plane crash on Miracle Drive, in Auburn. No further details at this time, this is a developing story," read a tweet. Cal Fire said some electrical wires were taken down by the plane but there weren't any reports of a fire due to the rain. The pilot was taken to the hospital but the extent of their injuries is not known at this time. The pilot was the only occupant of the plane. It's unknown, at this time, what caused the plane to crash into the home. Deputies will remain at the scene until the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transporation Safety Board arrive to take over the investigation. The Auburn Municipal Airport is a few miles east of Miracle Drive.
