FORMER Virginia Governor Chuck Robb and his wife Lynda were hurt in a fire at their $3.4million home. Firefighters arrived at the mansion on Chain Bridge Road in McLean on Tuesday evening as the flames had spread throughout the home's first floor.

Robb's Virginia mansion has an estimated value of $3.4million Officials say flames started on the first floor and spread through the roof. Photographs showed the mansion entirely engulfed in flames. It was revealed that the home was owned by the former Virginia senator and his wife, the daughter of former President Lyndon B. Johnson. Family members confirmed that Robb and Lynda were injured in the massive blaze. The former senator reportedly suffered smoke inhalation and his wife 2nd-degree burns. Flames and smoke shot into the air and could be seen from the Maryland side of the Potomac. Fairfax Fire officials announced the fire was under control following a three-hour battle. Fire officials are still working on determining the cause of the fire. Robb and his wife purchased the home overlooking the Potomac River in the 1970s. The home has an estimated value of $3.4million. Robb served as Virginia's governor from 1982 to 1986 and US senator from 1989 to 2001.
