We can see you... There's also a secondary mirror to bounce everything back to Webb's systems. A sunshield protects everything it catches from the sun. Inside there are four key instruments to capture light from hundreds of millions of miles away. This includes a camera to snap shots. Will the James Webb space telescope find aliens? The kit will be able to see through dense dust clouds that cover distant planets. Getting past this could help point towards life, but experts doubt we'll actually find aliens with it. ...It'll be able to do many things but I don't think that's on the list of objectives for the science that NASA has come up with,... Caroline Harper, from the UK Space Agency, told The Sun. ...If you can analyse the atmospheres of exoplanets then you can look for molecules that might be needed for life or might indicate the presence of life but that's the closest we'll get to spotting little green men....
EPANASA has led the project, alongside the European Space Agency and Canadian Space Agency. '/ ' What is the James Webb space telescope looking for? The main mission is to see stars and planets from early on. It takes a really long time for light to travel so we can essentially look way back in time from when they formed after the Big Bang. When will the James Webb space telescope be launched? If all goes to plan, it looks like a festive launch around Christmas time. The date has been delayed several times in the past. NASA recently put back the date again to ...no earlier than December 24.... It's a very complex operation that involves several countries and careful timing. Getting it wrong could mean billions of pounds and decades of work wasted. The last date change was for December 22 \- since then it's been pushed back by a couple of days. NASA said this is to allow experts to fix a communications issue between the observatory and its launch vehicle system. How long is the James Webb space telescope expected to last? The telescope is built to have a minimum lifespan of five years. But scientists hope to make it last more than 10 years. Who is James Webb? The telescope is named after James Webb who was the boss of NASA in the 1960s. Until 2002, it was known as the less catchy Next Generation Space Telescope. What do the experts think? Caroline Harper, who is Head of Space Science at the UK Space Agency, told The Sun that Webb is going to ...re-write bits of the astronomy textbooks.... ...We're all extremely excited to see the amazing science that will be returned....

Universal News & SportHe murdered Caroline Pierce and Wendy Knell in 1987 '/ ' Jessie Earl, 22, vanished from her bedsit home in circumstances very similar to Wendy, 25, and Caroline, 20. Sick Fuller beat and strangled the women to death before sexually assaulting them in two separate attacks in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, in 1987. Now Jessie's parents are urging police to look into their daughter's disappearance to see if Fuller could have been responsible. Slim brunette art student Jessie lived alone in Eastbourne, East Sussex, and vanished while Fuller was living 30 miles away in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Her father John, 94, a former building surveyor, told The Mirror : "It should be checked." Jessie had been due to return to the family home in Eltham, South East London, on May 16, 1980. Her watch and a ring were never found. Val added: "I felt a big hand had lifted her out of her room. The flat looked as though she'd popped out, her keys and purse were on the table." Sussex Police classified the death as "suspicious". An open verdict returned at an inquest was this week quashed by the High Court. Fuller, 67, evaded responsibility for the killings for 33 years until he was arrested following a DNA breakthrough last year. Kent Police will now spend a year reviewing unsolved murders, rapes and cases of missing women to see if Fuller could be responsible. Det Chief Supt Paul Fotheringham said this week: "Given the nature and length of time of his crimes, it is unthinkable he didn't commit other offences." Electrician Fuller, known as the 'Bedsit Killer', was caught 33 years after the attacks when a DNA breakthrough linked him to the murders. The slayings were one of the UK's longest unsolved double murder cases before Fullers arrest. A search of his home, in Heathfield, East Sussex, on December 3 last year revealed dozens of sick videos of him abusing the bodies of dead women for over a decade. Fuller initially pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Ms Knell and Ms Pierce by diminished responsibility, but days into his trial he admitted murdering the two women. He also pleaded guilty to 51 other offences, including 44 charges relating to 78 identified victims, including three children. They include the sexual penetration of a corpse, possessing an extreme pornographic image involving sexual interference with a corpse and taking indecent images of children. ...WORST OF HUMANITY' Justice Cheema-Grubb QC sentenced him to two whole life term for the murders at Maidstone Crown Court \- meaning he will never be released. Cowardly Fuller refused to look at the families of his victims as he was handed a 12 year sentence, to run concurrently, for the sexual offences between 2008 and November 2020. Fuller filmed himself carrying out the attacks inside the now-closed Kent and Sussex Hospital and the Tunbridge Wells Hospital, in Pembury, where he worked in electrical maintenance roles since 1989. Investigators have so far at least 102 potential victims but admitted all their identities may never be known. It is also feared that the twisted necrophiliac raped countless more corpses, with a police helpline recieving at least 200 calls from people who felt that they had relatives who may have been defiled by Fuller. Fuller had stored more than four million indecent images of children mostly downloaded from the internet. The court heard that he had even taken pictures of a mortuary logbook to create his own horrific record of those he defiled. Chilling footage also showed Fuller filming himself abusing dozens of women and girls in mortuaries, sometimes editing images to erase scars from the bodies. His youngest victim was a nine-year-old girl, along with two other children who were aged 16. The oldest victim was 100 years old, with Fuller sometimes violating the bodies more than once. The court heard he then used mortuary records to log their details in his own notebooks, and even looked up some of his victims on Facebook. So far only 82 of his victims have been identified from the horrific footage.

The Russian hypersonic glide vehicle which allows the missile to evade defence systems
The deadly weapon can fly around the world at speeds of nearly 16,000mph And the head of Moscow's strategic missile forces Col-Gen Sergey Karakayev vowed to replace the Mach-27 capable Avangard hypersonic gliding unit by the time the West finds an "antidote" to it. This comes as images purport to show heavy weaponry suspected to be en route to a military field camp near the village of Klintsy in Bryansk region, some 28 miles from the Ukrainian border. Vladimir Putin has amassed more than 100,000 troops near the border in a terrifying escalation of hostilities in recent months. Meanwhile, Russia today marks its annual Day of Strategic Rocket Forces. Speaking of the Satan-2 weapon, also known as Sarmat, Col-Gen Karakayev said: ...Starting from 2022, it is planned to begin gradual removal of the heavy-class silo-based Voyevoda missile system and replace it with Sarmat.... The 15,880mph weapon can deliver between 10 and 15 warheads that weigh up to 10-tonnes to any point in the world flying over both the North and South Poles, say the Kremlin. He said: ...We must understand this and do it and go further with hypersonic weapons. "By the time they find an antidote, we must have found another solution to this. "And today we are working on it. There are developments, there is work in progress. "I think that this task is within our reach." UNSTOPPABLE KILLER Moscow also made clear that in the coming year it would launch more than ten intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) \- rockets which can fly across the globe. This compares with a total of 25 such launches in the past five years, indicating a significant increase. Western leaders have warned Russia against the "strategic mistake" of invading Ukraine, threatening unprecedented sanctions against Moscow. New military movements highlighted by Zaspisky Okhotnika Telegram channel were interpreted as boosting forces with heavy weapons at military field camps near the village off Klintsy. TENSIONS AT BOILING POINT Tanks are seen being moved by train. Russia has strongly insisted that it is entitled to move military forces on its own territory, and denied it intends to invade Ukraine.
