ALFONSO LISTA, Ifugao –– Two males in Banaue city, Ifugao province died after a landslide buried their home on Sunday, authorities stated. Heavy rains triggered the landslide.
The our bodies of Ernesto Ceraos and Emiliano Lupais from Barangay Kinakin have been recovered round three a.m. on Monday.
“They have been sleeping when their home was destroyed by the landslide, stated Cpl. Paul Mar Magastino, Banaue police investigator, in a telephone interview. “They have been buried beneath the rubble of wooden,” he added.
Magastino stated the Kinakin part of the Banaue-Mayoyao border remained closed to offer strategy to clearing operations.
