COA flags NTC’s ‘excessive’ purchase of 44 smartphones

State auditors found that of the 44 Samsung Galaxy phones purchased by the National Telecommunications Commission, only four were used for their intended purpose, while the rest were issued to directors, officers-in-charge and their technical staff.
